While we all hope that those who put their lives on the line every day to protect us will come home safely, it’s a tragic fact that our protectors do get hurt in the line of duty. When that happens, every second counts, and medical personnel need to know as much as possible to save a wounded hero. To that end, we’re proud to offer the Lifesaver’s Emergency Info Tag set to the dedicated men and women of our emergency services departments at a deep discount to show our gratitude. Every day you protect us, and we’d like to return the favor.
Made of durable anodized aluminum, each Lifesaver’s Emergency Info Tag is clearly marked with the universal Star of Life symbol to alert medical personnel. While the contents of the tag are up to you, we recommend the following:
•Name & Badge Number (if applicable)
•Police Department or Fire/EMS Company
•ABO Blood Type
•Allergies
•Medical Conditions List (diabetic, hypertension, medications, etc.)
•"In case of emergency" phone number
We can also engrave a QR code onto a Lifesaver’s Emergency Info Tag. When scanned with a smartphone or tablet, the QR code can be configured to dial a specific phone number, send an e-mail to a preset address, or send a geolocation ping to a set e-mail address. In order to ensure correct resolution and readability, a QR code must take up one side of one tag.
In order to ensure that the recipient is serving in a police, fire, or EMS unit, the Lifesaver’s Emergency Info Tag must be marked with your department or fire/EMS company information.
To ensure comfort even under body armor, our tag set includes a silicone tag silencer that puts a comfortably-soft edge on the tag rather than bare metal. If worn outside of or without a vest, the silencer will prevent annoying tag "jingle."
(Firefighters, please take note: the tag silencer has not been tested for safety compliance in high heat/fire situations. It is recommended that the Lifesaver’s Emergency Info Tag and chain be worn under your bunker gear but not in contact with bare skin as the aluminum and stainless steel will conduct heat.)
Departmental shields/crests can usually be engraved. In order to add departmental graphics, we will need a written authorization to use the graphic from an appropriate departmental officer.
