Awards can be a real problem sometimes. If they're too small, you feel cheated; too big, what do you do with it? Sure, a trophy looks cool (for a little while), but there isn't enough room on your desk for it and what can a plastic star on a stick do, anyway? Wouldn't it be nice if an award could be classy, nice to receive, and useful? In that spirit, we proudly offer you our Monolith Award, crafted from beautiful imported black marble and engraved as you choose.

Each Monolith is cut black marble, sawn to about three inches by five (pieces will vary slightly), and about three-quarters of an inch thick (76mm x 127mm x 19mm). The faces of the award are polished to a high shine, while the edges are left rough hewn for a rustic appearance. And, weighing about a pound, it can serve as an excellent paperweight and show visitors how awesome you are at the same time.

Engraved black marble is a beautiful silver-grey naturally, but for an extra touch of class, we can apply color to the engraving. Silver or gold on black marble looks amazing (don't take my word for it; check out the gallery images!) but many other colors are available.

A company logo really helps make an employee award, so don't forget that! If you have a vector rendered copy, we'll add the logo at a discount, but even if you don't we can prep most logos for engraving. We can also engrave photos -- on black marble, you get a beautiful black & white style rendering of pictures -- which can make an employee award or company milestone keepsake truly special. It's one thing to give the sales team that landed your biggest contract yet a nice award, but much nicer to put the team's photo on it!
